My name is Paul Nichols and I am very pleased to welcome you to my blog Connecting Minds to Learning. I grew up in a small rural town in New South Wales, Australia and I currently live in Lausanne, Switzerland with my wife and son.
My family is the most important thing in my life. I also couldn’t live with out reading, music and walking in the mountains. I started this blog because I care deeply about connecting people together to improve learning for students. I hope that we can use this space to:
CELEBRATE EXCELLENCE -There are wonderful things happening classrooms all over the world. We need to celebrate and share excellent practices with one another so that we can reach more students.
INSPIRE ADVOCACY -Every person learns in a different way. It is as important to be creating classrooms that meet the learning needs of all students and to have our voices inform and influence education policymaking.
CREATE KNOWLEDGE -Using Web 2.0 technologies to build personal learning networks is an exciting and meaningful way to learn. I hope that the dialogue that occurs on this blog can help us create new knowledge, and action together.
I have been a primary school teacher and I currently provide professional development workshops for teachers in The United Kingdom, Australia and Switzerland. If you are interested in learning more about my work, please click here.
